Belated congratulations to James!
In April 2016 James Hubbard was the recipient of the Jean Fain Award for Printmaking at the Providence Art Club all media national juried exhibition, "COLOR". Eighty artists’ works were chosen out of 750 entries by art curator Dominic Molon of the Rhode Island School of Design Art Museum. PAC is one of the oldest art clubs in the United States.
On April 13th, 2016, James Hubbard was elected to the executive board of the Sugar Creek Art Center, Thorntown, Indiana where he is also the co-director of exhibitions. He established a studio at SCAC in December 2015 where he teaches relief & intaglio printing and collage. His duo show with landscape print artist Martha Nahrwold of Five Seasons Studio (CCIC) will be at SCAC in August- September 2016. “Culture at the Creek” opening night is August 12th.
